Expert Custom Framing:
We can help you design the ideal look for your print, painting or memory. With over 25 years in the Art of Custom Framing, we have an expert staff always there to assist you. Choose from over 3000 mouldings and over 1000 different mat choices.
In Home Delivery:
If your piece is too big or just hard for you to transport, just give us a call to arrange a pick up. If you are unable to pick the framed piece, we will gladly deliver it for you.
Canvas Stretching:
Many customers ask if we can stretch a canvas or do a gallery wrap for them. Absolutely ! We often have clients return from a trip where they saw a piece they just had to have but it was too big to bring back so they have the gallery cut it from the canvas stretchers. No problem, we will re-stretch the canvas for you and help you select the appropriate framing.
Shadowboxes:
Now this is our specialty! We especially enjoy doing three dimensional framing. If you take a look at our Framed Memory Gallery, you can get a better idea of some of the things we are able to Custom Frame using Shadowbox Mouldings. It seems like we are always framing some kind of Sports Jersey. Local Sports Teams like the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Steelers keep us very busy. Jerseys, Hockey sticks, Christening gowns, Pocket Watches, Coins and Guitars are just a few of the articles we have framed in the past. You name it, we can frame it! We use the finest in Acid free and Conservation materials. We use Conservation Glass that provides 99% UV protection which is very important when you are trying to protect and preserve those cherished memories. Many people are now opting for the Museum Glass which also offers the same 99% UV protection but goes one step further in that it appears to be invisible. Yes, I said invisible. You have to see it to believe it, but a warning, once you use it, you will want it on all your old pieces as well.
In Home Consultation:
We are here to help. If you are not quite sure what type of Art you should be looking for, we can help. We will gladly come to your residence, take a walk thru and get a general idea of what you are trying to achieve as well as a sense of your style. We also have our online gallery " Artaissance - Art that Fits" that is a great help in selecting art for your home. Just go to the links tab on our Website and click on the link. You will find this very helpful.
Personalized Pop Art:
This is so much fun. There are few people who do not know what a "Warhol" looks like but if you don't, take a look at some of our Pop Art creations. You can either email us your picture or just bring us that favorite picture of your dog, maybe one of your children, your girlfriend, whatever it may be that you would like to have enlarged and made into a wonderful piece of original artwork. We can print your personalized Pop Art original on either paper or canvas and they are available in pretty much any size you can imagine. You too can have a "Warhol" looking piece of Artwork but best of all, it will be of a personal nature. For more information and specifications on the file size and format we need, just give us a call or stop by the Gallery.
Needlepoint Stretching:
This is also referred to as "needlepoint blocking" and we are experts. You would be amazed at the number of needlepoint's that we have in the gallery at any given time. All you need to do is make sure the needlepoint is cleaned prior to bring into the gallery for framing. We will take care of the rest.
Watercolor Portraits:
We work with a number of Local Portrait Artists that specialize in Portraits of People and Pets. We have portfolios of these Artist's in the Gallery so you can select the one that is right for you. They work in different ways in that one of the Artist's will work strictly from multiple Photographs and the other Artist not only works from photographs, but likes to meet with the client and get to know the personality of the person or pet that is to be in the portrait.
Evenings by Appointment:
We are not currently open in the evenings but we do have evenings by appointment. We know it is not always easy to get into the gallery during normal business hours so we would be more than happy to arrange an appointment in the evening. Evening appointments are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our normal hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 10:00Am - 5:00Pm, Friday and Saturday: 10:00 - 4Pm.
Same Day Framing Service:
Most Custom Framing orders care completed in a maximum of 5 business days but we also offer Same Day Framing Services to those who may need a quick turnaround. We stock a large variety of Frame Mouldings and Mats to help with the client that may need something Custom Framed in the same day.
Pen and Ink Illustrations:
Just like our Portrait Artists, we have a number of local talented Illustrators. They can do illustrations of your residence, business or favorite place. The Artists we have available have a great deal of experience and we have many examples of their work available for you to peruse in the Gallery. Custom Imaging:
Custom Imaging, or more commonly referred to as "Digital Printing", is the ability to Digitally print in a wide format on either Canvas or Paper. That means any image, any size, any format and it's totally customized to suit your decorating requirements. We can help preserve those special moments and wonderful memories by converting them into Artwork and Wall Decor that will last a lifetime. Wouldn't you rather hang your own photographs of your trip to the Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge or even the Venetian Canal than hang some unknown artist's photograph or painting of it?
Digital Photo Editing & Restoration
In the past, most photo restoration was done by restoration experts
such as museum art restorers. Repairs were applied directly to the
damaged photo and consisted mainly of air brushing over the damage.
This is still the preferred method for valuable historical photos
such as those found in archival collections. This type of work is
very expensive and not usually required by the average person
wishing to repair old damaged family photos and preserve those
precious memories.
Fortunately, it is now possible through our Digital Photo Editing
& Restoration Service to restore almost any photo at a much
lesser cost. Instead of working directly on the damaged photo,
a copy is made using a scanner. Once all of the repairs and
adjustments such as removing a tear, removing an object or
person, color corrections and enhancements are made to the copy
using our Digital Photo Editing program, a new print can be
produced. The final Digital Photo file of the repaired photo can be
saved as an archival copy and replaces the need for a negative.
It is a good idea to restore all of your treasured photographs in order to stop the unavoidable destruction that will take place no matter how carefully the photos are stored. Once restored, the photographs can be copied to a CD or DVD for long term storage and safe keeping. Once you have the digital copies you need not worry about further damage because digital images do not change at all. Having digital copies will allow you to make sets of prints and additional prints at any time in the future. Thus when you have friends and family over and they see a photo that they would like to have as well, you can simply print one for them or have us print and frame it for them. There are sentimental reasons for wanting to restore those precious family photographs. Restored photos make a great unique personal gift for family members. What better gift than to restore through our Digital Photo Restoration Service and then Custom Frame the only good childhood photo of you and your siblings all together, and then give one to each of them.
